Fertile Ground: Urban Land Work (A roundtable discussion). We invite three land workers dreaming up projects in South London to speak about their practice and land working on public land. This event requires booking. BOOK HERE
The roundtable will include contributions from Ali Yellop (Earthtenders), Helen MacKenzie (West Norwood Cemetery), Grannnie’s Caribbean Garden and facilitated by Elyssa Livergant (SLBI) and Maria Cabrera (SLBI)
The discussion is connected to early research for a project the SLBI are doing at the West Norwood Cemetery (WNC) called ‘Walk with Me While I Remember you’. That project explores the relationship between plants, land work, care and what communities/people want to honour from the past. The roundtable is funded in part by our commission from the WNC.
‘Walk with me…’ is a commission from West Norwood Cemetery as part of their National Lottery Heritage Funded project.
