Friends of West Norwood Cemetery: Sir Henry Tate, his life, work and philanthropy

Sir Henry Tate (1819–1899) made a great deal of money and gave an enormous amount of it away. ...

Tate lived at the end of his life in Streatham, and has his Grade II* listed mausoleum at Norwood (grave 19,897, square 38/39). We will look at his life, and the impact his philanthropy had on Lambeth. This talk will be given by Bill Linskey.

Bill is Chair of The Brixton Society and of the Lambeth Local History Forum.
