Public Hard Hat Tour No3 West Norwood Cemetery

11.30am-12noon
As part of the £6.7 million National Lottery Heritage Fund project currently ongoing in West Norwood cemetery this is a unique opportunity to view St Stephens Chapel in the Greek Enclosure at roof/pediment level and admire the sculptural friezes up close. There are no ladders to climb as a proper scaffold staircase has been built. There will also be a chance to see the ground floor refurbishment. ...

Please come dressed appropriately for the weather and for being on a working building site. Hard hats and hi-viz jackets will be provided on arrival and must be worn. We will be walking on damp/wet ground and through sometimes narrow dusty/dirty spaces.

The meeting place is the entrance to the Greek Enclosure. Please allow at least 15mins to walk there from the main cemetery entrance and ensure you arrive a few minutes early to put on your hard hats and hi-viz jackets. We are very sorry but late comers cannot be accommodated and we cannot accommodate children under 12years old.

Places are very limited, so it would be appreciated if you are from an organisation, if you booked only one place. If you would like more, please email Kim Hart to add the other person/people to a wait list, in case of cancellations.
