Aristides George Caridia (1869-1937)

George Caridia was a British tennis player. Born in India, he moved to Britain and reached the Wimbledon semi-finals in 1903. George represented Great Britain at the 1908 London Olympics, where he won two silver medals. His signature shot was the half volley, which was an innovative move in his day. When not playing tennis George worked as a stockbroker.
