West Norwood Cemetery: Behind the scenes guided walk (FREE!)

10.30am-12noon
12.30pm-2pm
Every wondered how a grave is dug or how a crematorium works (and what exactly is a Columbarium?). Then this is the event for you.
We are running two 'behind the scenes' tours of West Norwood Cemetery as part of our special focus examining 'Death from all angles' during May in response to Hospice UK Dying Matters Awareness Week, 6-12 May and you are very welcome to join us. Places are extremely limited, so it will be necessary to book. There is no age restriction, but please think about the content.

There will be two tours, one at 10.30am and one at 12.30pm, each will last about 90mins and will begin at the main entrance to West Norwood Cemetery on the corner of Norwood Road and Robson Road and finish at the Crematorium Chapel in the centre of the cemetery. You will then make your own way back to the entrance.

This guided walk will largely be on paved roads and pavements, but be prepared for walking on grass that might be wet - and indeed come prepared for all weather, a little bit of rain never puts us off.

We look forward to seeing you. Please book your places here:
