The Friends of West Norwood Cemetery are offering four special tours as part of National Cemeteries Week. Once a year the National Federation of Cemetery Friends puts the spotlight on the work of voluntary groups in local cemeteries by inviting Cemetery Friends to arrange special events within the same extended week.

Here are the details of each walk:
Saturday 3 June, 2.30pm-4pm: Andrea Woodside leads a tour of the main monuments.
A guide to the history of the cemetery and notable persons interred here and their monuments. 90-minute walk, quite hilly in parts.
Sunday 4 June, 2.30pm-4pm: Dr Jane Jordan, academic and author, takes you round this first Victorian Gothic Cemetery.
A guide to the history of the cemetery and notable persons interred here and their monuments by an expert in the Victorian novel.
Wednesday 7 June, 2.30pm-4pm: Paul Graham, Dickens expert, takes you to the graves of the many Dickens' contemporaries buried at West Norwood.
A wide range of Charles Dickens' colleagues and collaborators are buried in the Cemetery. Join Paul to find Jerrold, Britton and more.
Sunday 11 June, 2.30pm-4pm: Dr Victoria Solomonidis-Hunter, historian, shows you the detail of the magnificent Greek Enclosure.
Historian and lecturer, Dr Victoria Solomonidis-Hunter FKC, FRHistS will explain about the history and people of this extraordinary cemetery.
