Walking with Words - a free creative course exploring nature and inspiring writing
Wednesdays 3, 10, 17 and 24 June
10.30am-12.30pm
This creative workshop combining walking, tea and writing is spread over four sessions - one per week - and is entirely free, but booking is essential due to number limits - please read on for details:
Led by local writer and storyteller Sally Pomme Clayton, each session starts with a gentle guided walk through the cemetery. Pomme will then guide you with simple, fun and playful creative writing prompts based on the beautiful natural surroundings.
Explore how you can create your own stories and poems with her inspiring guidance. Pomme is a warm and encouraging teacher, and the workshop is for all adults, regardless of experience. Follow her through the trees and enliven your imagination!
The four sessions each follow a different path and theme inspired by the cemetery, exploring nature, plants, trees, local history and ideas about beauty.
For more information, including on accessibility, and to reserve your place, please contact Teresa Donoghue, Activities and Community Officer, West Norwood Cemetery: tdonoghue2@lambeth.gov.uk
This workshop series is funded by Thriving Norwood
